"The 'Persian' series combines surreal imagery with bright colours for a more contemporary take on Persian history. I have rendered ancient Persian as well as more recent Qajar subjects in bright acrylics. The Qajar shah's are especially captivating. They have amazing features, each unique and full of history. It is my way of making our past brighter and connecting with my own roots."
